Overview

GitStock turns public GitHub repository activity into visual charts. You can use the core service without creating an account or connecting a GitHub account.

Information we process

• Public repository information requested through GitStock, including commit metadata and change statistics.
• Information you submit when posting a comment, including your name, email address, and comment content. Your email address is not displayed publicly.
• Basic technical and usage information, such as browser type, device information, pages visited, and approximate location derived from an IP address.

How we use information

We use this information to provide and improve GitStock, generate repository visualizations, operate comments, protect the service from abuse, diagnose errors, and understand aggregate usage.

Analytics and third parties

GitStock uses Google Analytics to measure service usage. Google may use cookies or similar technologies when providing analytics. Repository information is obtained from GitHub and is also subject to GitHub's privacy practices.

Data sharing and retention

We do not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that help operate GitStock, when required by law, or when necessary to protect the service and its users. We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for these purposes.

Your choices

You can limit analytics cookies through your browser settings. To request access to or deletion of information you submitted, open an issue in the GitStock project.
